Under the leadership of GMD José Luis Gutiérrez, the Mittelsächsisches Theater in Freiberg, the world’s oldest municipal theater, promotes the inclusion of people living with dementia through its “Papillons” project. By placing their life stories at the center of the stage, the theater creates a meaningful bridge between generations. This form of artistic expression enables participants like José Luis Gutiérrez to actively engage in public life while honoring their personal biographies in a unique and powerful way.
